I actually didn't set out to become an Ayurvedic practitioner.

Growing up with a physician for a father and a pharmacist for a mother, Western medicine was deeply familiar to me. I followed the pre-med track and after earning my Bachelor's degree in Biology from the College of Charleston, I was preparing for a career in western medicine.

However, through my own experiences with health, I became increasingly curious about just how profoundly our everyday lives shape the way we feel. Nutrition mattered. Mental and spiritual well-being mattered. And perhaps most importantly, the everyday choices that brought my life into greater alignment were often the ones that had the greatest impact on how I felt.

When I discovered Ayurveda, it didn't so much change the way I understood health as give language and structure to something I had already experienced for myself. Here was an ancient system of medicine that recognized the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit, and understood that the way we eat, move, rest, think, relate, and live each day profoundly shapes our health.

Ayurveda also gave me a deeper framework for listening to the body, not as something to fight or fix, but as an intelligent system constantly adapting, responding, and communicating.

Where I am Today

Today, I am a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist with more than 3,700 hours of clinical training through the California College of Ayurveda, where I studied nutrition, herbal medicine, physiology, pathology, psychology, and individualized treatment planning through the lens of Ayurveda.

My background also includes more than 700 hours of yoga teacher training, and years of experience working in wellness education, retreat settings, and one-on-one client care. I am currently expanding my training through Functional Diagnostic Nutrition to further integrate modern functional medicine with Ayurvedic wisdom.

While my education spans both Western science and traditional healing systems, I don't believe they are in competition. Each offers valuable insight, and together they can provide a more complete understanding of health.

Outside of my work, you'll usually find me hiking with my dog Rio, traveling, listening to music, getting lost in a good book or foreign film, laughing with friends and family, or planning my next outdoor adventure.

I believe the things that make us feel alive are also an essential part of our health. For me, that means time in nature, movement, meaningful relationships, good food, curiosity, adventure, and plenty of room for joy.

My hope is that our work together helps you not only feel better, but also reconnects you with your own capacity to heal and create a life that feels vibrant, grounded, and fully alive.
